Exploring your Yoga Practice - becoming meditative through Tratak Sadhana & More
Dear Fellow Yogis,
Slots are limited, hence this Sadhana(Practice) is available on two sundays.
The booking link is below if you'd like to bring a friend book slots accordingly.
All meditation practices aim to calm the physical body initially, and then the energy body. Traatak is one of the simplest and most effective techniques to learn, understand and practice. Even beginners with a little effort and persistence can gain much from it over a short period of time.
Traatak practice, being a "concentrative" meditation technique has many benefits, such as -
- Clarity of mind and improved concentration
- Destressing and better sleep
- Awareness of Ajna Chakra (Third Eye)
Outline of the session:
The session will start with a few rounds of Surya Namaskars (Sun Salutations) and Vinyasa Flow. Surya Namaskar is a combination of 12 yoga asanas that helps to blend the mind with body and breath. Adding some gentle twists and bends that helps to stream and balance energy before we settle and start to explore into our meditative practice.
We then explore stage 1&2 of breathing techniques (Nadhi Shodhan), which I have introduced in some of my regular sessions. This will help us balance the "ida-pingla"/"yin-yang" before we move into Traatak (Candle Gazing) meditation. Finally, come into your Shavasana and guided Yoga Nidra (psychic sleep).
Followed by delicious Ayurvedic Sattvic meal.
My intention for this workshop is to help you incorporate meditation practices and mindfulness in your daily lives.
What you will need to bring: A light blanket/scarf or a covering for the Yoga Nidra practice at the end and a Yoga Mat.
