I had a 1-1 yoga session with Shilpi in her own home and would highly recommend her classes. The area was clean and spacious with gentle music playing so I felt relaxed as soon as I entered. She took the time to explain what we would be doing in the class and asked if there were any particular areas I wanted to work on or any poses to avoid. Her directions were clear and precise and she gently adjusted and re-positioned when needed. She has a lovely calm manner and I felt totally refreshed at the end of the class.
I enjoyed Shilpi’s classes very much and have now signed up for 10 sessions. Her class was challenging but carefully judged to be within my capabilities. I particularly enjoyed the ashtanga elements that she incorporated. Shilpi took great care and was very attentive, she has a lovely and calming manner. I felt both stretched and relaxed at the end of the session and am happy to recommend her
I found Shilpi through an online local newsletter and am so glad I did. I've been doing yoga for over 20 years and Shilpi's vinyasa session are such a welcome addition. Her supporting, warm and friendly approach is just great to ease into each class. She's pushing me gently while still concentrating on breathing techniques and inner calmness. Shilpi has taught me a lot in the relatively short time I've joined her on zoom and each week I'm really looking forward to her class. I can highly recommend her if you're looking for a dynamic flow class (mind, she does other classes too so do check out her schedule).
I was nervous about starting yoga despite several people recommending it to me, including my chiropractor and physio. From the outset Shilpi made me feel comfortable and safe to begin my yoga journey. She is an excellent teacher who encourages and cajoles with skill and experience. I cannot recommend her more strongly.
I thoroughly enjoy Shilpi’s yoga lessons, being new to yoga (male, mid-40s). Her manner is very pleasant, her instructions clear and her ‘routine’ seamless, gradually improving my flexibility and breathing.
I loved Shilpi's Jyoti Traatak (Candle Gazing) workshop, and felt amazing afterwards. We started with some rapid flows to disperse energy, then focussed on the candle gazing. That was so powerful, it felt as if lots of negative energy was flowing out of my body. Somehow I managed not to fall asleep in the relaxing meditation afterwards, but came out floating. The benefits lasted for many days after, and I have felt so much calmer since. A wonderful experience, and I can't wait for the next one, I signed up for it straight after!
I attended 'Exploring Meditation through Jyoti Tratak (Candle Gazing) workshop” facilitated by Shilpi Gupta. I highly recommended you attend this workshop. Shilpi combines her teaching with extensive knowledge, kindness and clear direction. She made the space safe and I am keen to attend anther workshop.
